How to Purchase

Performance Ceramics LLC perform coating procedures in a clean room atmosphere.
All engine parts shipped to Performance Ceramics LLC should be very clean.
We Ceramic Coat as many used parts as new parts.

New parts seldom require extensive cleaning, there is no fee for light cleaning and prep of new parts.
Used parts often require Fine Sand blasting or Aluminum Oxide blasting to prepare the surface for coating, we charge $60.00 an hour for cleaning services. (Prep for most items is included in the prices we quote on our full services price page. Full Service Pricing ). If your headers are extremely rusty, it is in your best interest to have them sand blasted before you ship them. We often find pinholes and cracks in very rusty headers. You'll save money getting them cleaned and inspected before you ship them.
It is in the customers best interest to clean the parts as thoroughly as possible prior to shipment so any defects can be detected.

If we find a defective part or part that we feel is damaged or too severely worn for an effective coating procedure we notify the customer immediately.

We do not coat full engine blocks or perform the SWSX Powerkote (dry lubricant) services on Cylinder Bores or Lifter Bores, you will need to purchase 1oz SWSX $24.95 (the one ounce of powder is sufficient for a nornal V8 engine) and perform these functions yourself or have it done by a machine shop. They are buffed on and do not require heat or other special process. We will SWSX Powerkote Dry Lubricant coat VW / Porsche Air Cooled Type one, Type two, Type four cast cylinders and 83-91 1.9 and 2.1 VW Wasser Boxer Cylinders.
We coat headers, manifolds, motor cycle heads / cylinders etc with Black Satin Ceramic coatings.
Crank Shafts with gears attached need to be disassembled and shipped as separate items. We do not have the presses to remove many types of crank gears. Cranks shipped with gears will be subject to charges for outsource services required to remove the gear.

Cylinder heads should be disassembled prior to shipment. The heads / valves / springs /retainers will be returned disassembled. The valves will need to be installed and lapped when your heads are returned.
Cylinder heads should be disassembled prior to shipment. We charge $6.00 to remove and reinstall each valve in the proper location.

All machine shop services to engine parts need to have been performed prior to any Ceramic Coatings applications.
Mated parts from balancing such as wrist pins and pistons need to be clearly taged for proper reassembly.
Size limitations for an items requiring oven curing is  No longer than 26".
Parts requiring polishing in our vibratory polisher is also 26" in length and 14" in width.

Money orders should be made payable to Performance Ceramics LLC (Call first).
You may also purchase prepaid return shipment labels from UPS and FEDEX and include them with your shipment.
